source or sink...

This week I'm a sink, definitely. I'm soaking in life. My creativity well is in a state of rest and and my body is recovering from a wretched cold . The house is  wreck but I keep reminding myself that "dull people have immaculate houses."

Fortunately, I've sown many seeds and their growth is sustaining me through my creative dry spells :) The children are busy planning Brother and Sister Day since they were so enamored with Mother's Day. They look forward to being able to do whatever they want. I guess my act of lazing on the sofa watching Ab/Fab and eating junk food was was inspiring. Even in my state of inertia  I was a source to someone!

Since Chris had to be out of town for Mother's Day we decided I'd go out 2 nights this week. These outings will likely bring me back into the creative fold and I'm eager, eager, eager !

This weekend we travelled to Maryland to celebrate my father's sixtieth birthday. Here's a pic of my cake-laden daughter being silly !

Other news from the party: My sister gave my father an incredible gift. She gave him a half carton of cigarettes with her quitdate written on the box. It was an emotional moment and I am so proud of my sister . GO HEATHER !

My brother-in-law just quit last week and I'm sending him good vibes. You can do it mark!

Sounds like you had a nice Mother's day. I was too tired to post about mine....still am. May is too busy.

you are always inspiring. even in your inertia. and hey, it's good to sit around and watch ab fab in a dark room even when it's sunny outside. (at least once in awhile. probably every day isn't so grand.) wish i'd have known. i would have brought you lunch over.
