SPC: mother & son

 

 ***oops, I left for vacation and completely forgot to post this SPC  last month. I've been SO crazy busyt happy that I've not been keeping up with Self Portrait Challenge but that is the way summer goes !***

This month's (September)Self Portrait Challenge theme is 'With Someone." I will undoubtedly be including my family and closest friend in these upcoming challenges.

I snapped this photo of my 2 year old son and I playing in the backyard five years ago. I I was finishing up chemo and we spent a great deal of time outside in playing in the garden and painting tree stumps with pokeberries. It was an intense time and being outside made it much easier to cope. My son will turn 7 this Thursday. I'm incredibly thankful to still be here with him.
