Ode to Chris Farmer

So I met this guy at a Stinking Lizaveta show at the now defunct Moondance in Richmond, Virginia in 1997. We had wild times and fell madly in love. We got pregnant after a particularly wild New Year's Eve house party. We had a baby boy, married, bought a house, I got cancer, we had a babygirl (which Chris caught: see first blog entry ever).  Chris is an amazing partnerand father. He is also a musician of great passion and skill. Since the world wide web doesn't have a comprehensive discography of Chris Farmer, I place it here, along with links for you listening pleasure.

It just so happens that I went to jr. high and high school with Mr. Farmer although he may not remember me. My niece is doing a flat stanley project for school and I found my old copy of Hot Cauliflower. Then I did some searching and came across this site. Good to see Chris still in the music business. All the best...

Well, it just so happens that I went to jr. high, high school AND elementary school with Chris. Yes, I still have those first through fifth grade class pictures. I would look at them often and wonder what he's been up to. Now, I know. I hope the family is well. Larilyn

kimmy, it was great to see you and chris it was great to meet you tonight! (man, richmond is a teeny-tiny town.) i'm listening to Hot Cauliflower now! (my LP copy AUTOGRAPHED by john G.) Hot Cauliflower still stands up after 20 years--my favorite song is still Bananafish. and your drumming is still as hyper-kinetic as i remember it. i look forward to hearing new music from you in the future. take care!

Wow,

And, it just so happens that I went to elementary school with Chris....and Larylin :)
Cools site....glad I was able to stumble upon it.
I gotta tell you Chris is an amazing drummer! Just a great energy and passion about the way he plays….he's up there with the best of them.
I don’t know if you remember but I believe we met. I came out to Richmond the summer of 97' and went out with you guy one night for a cup of coffee or beer....or both, can't remember. It was great catching up because I hadn't seen Chris since 1981 and thought it was a little weird that we both ended up becoming drummers.
Please tell Chris I said hi and it’s great to see his music out there.

And PS...Yes! Hot Cauliflower is a great record! Just need something to play it on again :)
